Handy location, 5 minutes walk from the town centre. Nice staff, clean and tidy. The attached pub however was a different story 🍺👎
I always like a Premier Inn with their comfy beds, clean rooms and modern decor. There was a slight issue on check in but the receptionist was very helpful and sorted the problem promptly. This one was very conveniently located right next to a Tesco which was very handy. I recommend this hotel.

Nice pub, good beer and plenty of parking. It is a Fullers pub and I do like their beer but it was also well kept. I didnt try the food but what i saw on tables near me looked good. This would be an easy 4 star pub but for 1 thing. It is about £5 a pint. In my opinion that is just too much for a pub. For anywhere really. Oddly the food didn't appear to be overly expensive. So long story short good pub but a bit pricey.
Really nice room with choices of drinks and coffee machine. Lovely shower and comfy bed. Nice breakfast

Lovely atmosphere and staff very friendly and helpful in general. Hotel was very comfortable and welcoming. Restaurant menu was simple but very nice and children eat free with a paying adult. Breakfast buffet had a great variety and would set you up for the day. Central location in a lovely area. Only downside was how rushed we felt at dinner one evening. Not all staff but some it seemed were quite keen to finish up and were handing us the bill whilst we were still eating dinner without even asking if we'd like desert or coffee. In fact, we felt so under pressure to leave that we left half of our dinner behind! Very off putting!!! Must be stated that it was only on one particular night, with one set of staff. Rest of staff were fantastic! Overall, we had a wonderful stay.
A lovely clean hotel. Rooms are fitted with modern furnishings. Breakfast is nice. Would stay again

A nice local pub next to the canal. Lovely friendly staff with a good menu. Real ale is always spot on and well kept with reasonable pricing. As already stated by other reviewers this pub does struggle when busy but to be fair so do a lot of others. Dogs allowed as long as they are well behaved and kept in the dog area adjacent to the bar. I have eaten here many times and if there is a problem it is rectified very quickly. All in all pleasant surroundings to spend with family and friends. Well done.
Sadly the Swan has lost a lot of it's charm. Chef and brewer used to serve good food and good beer. Since Greene King got involved the offering is not as good. My last visit was only 30 seconds. If a pub can't provide a good choice of ale it isn't likely to understand much about keeping customers happy.

A painless, easy experience dealing with a young lady whom I had booked with before. She was so helpful. Would recommend.
Polite, friendly and patient. Very good - thank you.

I am quite difficult to please as a customer and am not given to rating highly unless I am truly impressed. This is a delightful B&B and good value for money. Communication prior to my stay was speedy and helpful. Colebrook House is situated in a quiet Victorian suburban road with plenty of free on-street parking. The interior is decorated tastefully and the room was clean, comfortable and well equipped. The bed was especially comfortable. The staff were charming and the breakfasts were amazing. I could not recommend this B&B more highly.
I stayed in room 1. Very homely and quaint. Clean and quiet. Julie and her team are amazing. Perfect bed and breakfast if you want a home away from home experience. Tea and coffee in the rooms. Ironing board in the corridor outside the room. Services are definitely 5/5.
If you would like something truly different you might like to have a look at Airbnb. These are mostly B and Bs provided by people on a very informal basis. The may have a spare room, a yurt, a cottage or a barge with space they can receive guests for a night or a month! The website is highly professional. You can really see what you are going to get. Very well worth a look. Airbnb also show 'conventional' B&Bs as well. Enjoy!
